Honeyhill is a small hobby kennel which is located in NW Iowa, 25 miles north of Sioux City. Honeyhill not only strives to meet AKC conformation standards, but is equally devoted to creating dogs with wonderful temperaments. Although established much later, my love for shelties began in 1972 when I bought a wonderful pet quality sheltie we called Sparky. He was as smart, loyal and gentle as they come, and because of him I developed a never-ending love and devotion for the breed. It was a sad, sad day when he passed away. He is gone, but never forgotten.
In 1988 Honeyhill Shelties was founded with the purchase of a show prospect puppy from Cindy Holmes of Oakdale Shelties. Cindy and I have remained good friends. Through her excellent and patient mentoring, I have developed a fine line of quality shelties who are
competitive in the conformation ring as well as the obedience ring, but who are happiest when laying by your side. I am proud to say through the years I have produced and/or campaigned many AKC champions. Although I have been blessed with many wonderful shelties who are forever stamped in my heart, I have also enjoyed meeting other sheltie enthusiasts all across the country.

My pedigrees are full of champions which indicate a background of dogs tested to be sound in structure and temperament.
